The deadline to register for the AP exam is October 31st, 2020.  Students can sign up late to take the exam up until March 12, 2021, but will incur a $40 late order fee, payable to our bookkeeper.  There is no fee for canceled exams or unused exams, so if a student is unsure whether they want to take the exam, it may be in their best interest to sign up for the exam, and then cancel it later on if they decide they do not want to take it.

To sign up to take the exam, each student will sign into MyAP using their College Board account (or create a new account if necessary).  You will use the "join code" provided by your AP teacher to add the class.  You will see a REGISTER button in your class section view in MyAP after you join your class section. Clicking this button will allow you to select whether to take the exam, and will notify your AP coordinator who will order the exam for you.

The fee for the AP exam is $95.  Advanced Opportunities funds can be applied to cover the cost of the exam.  These funds need to be requested by students during the 3rd trimester of their course (or during the 2nd trimester if the course only is 2 trimesters long).  You must request funding directly through the State of Idaho Advanced Opportunities website.

Due to various circumstances (e.g., conflict with athletic contest, two AP exams at same time, etc.), some students may need to take a test on the Late Testing Date.  If this may apply to you, please let the AP coordinator know that late testing will be needed.

Please remember that the State of Idaho will pay for your AP tests through the Advanced Opportunities Fund.  You must request funding directly through the State of Idaho Advanced Opportunities website. If you have never accessed the portal before or are having difficulty processing your request, please access directions listed below or contact the counseling office at 208-525-4475 to get directions for signing up for Advanced Opportunity funds.
