Your call is free and confidential. Trained crisis workers in your area can assist you and the youth in deciding what they need right now.

HOPE SQUAD - HOLD ON. PERSUADE. EMPOWER

The HOPE SQUAD is the eyes and ears of our school. It is comprised of students who are trained to watch for at-risk students. They then provide friendship, identify warning signs, and seek help from adults. Hope Squad students are identified by their classmates as trustworthy peers and someone they might talk to if they had a problem. Through evidenced-based lessons, HOPE SQUAD members are trained and empowered to seek help and save a life. HOPE SQUAD members are not taught to act as counselors, but rather are educated on how to recognize signs of suicide contemplation and how to properly and respectfully report this to an adult. We are excited to have a HOPE SQUAD actively engaged at Thunder Ridge High School!
